The Jolly Claus is insured each year and bonded as a Christmas Performer, which means he has been subject to extensive background checks. Also, the Jolly Claus is a local business person in the community that owns a few restaurants.

The Jolly Claus is also a 2023 Graduate of the Charles W. Howard Santa Claus School, established in 1937. (Yes, Virginia, there is a School for Santa’s).
